Getting ready for Second Saturday

I feel sheepish. I never finished my artist statement. Oh well! One thing I like about my artmaking is that I can do whatever I want, and sometimes that means not doing something.

So, we at the Sacramento Art Complex are gearing up for another Second Saturday in Sacramento. If you don't know what that is, its a thing we do in our downtown and midtown areas where all of the art galleries stay open late so people can walk around and see art and maybe BUY some art as well. Second Saturday is one of the main reasons why I obtained a studio work space. It been going on for a few years and its been getting bigger and bigger. Now it resembles a fair. There is music on every corner, lots of art galleries and art ranging from fine art to artists just starting out. There's also a lot of crafts.

The Sacramento Art Complex gets LOTS of traffic on these nights. I was open on Valentine's Day weekend and boy, I had many strangers in my studio. It was a new experience for me.

This was the upstairs. there was way more traffic downstairs. Andy was a a great help as usual!
